As the only medical facility between the Monterey Peninsula and Cambria, the Big Sur Health Center is critical to the wellness of its community.
To help ensure its long-term commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services to all residents, the center has announced the launch of the Big Sur Health Center Stewardship Fund. Founded by Big Sur resident Patricia Lee Pavey, the fund focuses on bridging the financial gap in times of need.
"At the Big Sur Health Center, we are here for the expected, the unexpected, and everything in between," said BSHC executive director and physician assistant Sharen Carey, who announced the launch of this critical new funding stream.
Pavey founded the Stewardship Fund because she recognized the need for quality healthcare close to home. Her family has a home in Big Sur and regularly uses the Health Center. Pavey believes in supporting the community she resides in and created the fund to assure that quality healthcare would always be available, now and into the future.

As a nonprofit healthcare facility since 1979, the Big Sur Health Center provides quality acute and preventive healthcare services that are culturally and linguistically appropriate, affordable and cost-effective. It is the Health Center's quest to be a lifelong healthcare partner, providing quality care.

The BSHC believes that healthcare should be available to everyone...and that is why they accept most major insurance plans, including Medicare and MediCal, and participate in a variety of subsidized and sliding-scale programs.

Para ayudar a asegurar su compromiso de proveer servicios de salud de alta calidad para todos los residentes a término largo, el centro ha anunciado el lanzamiento del fondo the Big Sur Health Center Stewardship Fund. Fundado por la residente de Big Sur, Patricia Lee Pavey, el fondo se enfoca en cubrir la diferencia financiera en tiempos de necesidad.

Como una instalación no lucrativa desde 1979, el Big Sur Health Center provee servicios de salud de calidad y servicios de cuidados preventivos que son culturalmente y lingüísticamente apropiados, al alcance y efectivos en costo. Es la misión del Health Center ser un compañero en tu salud de por vida, proveyendo cuidado de calidad cuando lo necesitan.
El Big Sur Health Center Provee:

- ambos cuidados preventivos y de urgencias, procedimientos quirúrgicos menores y servicios de laboratorio y farmacéuticos.

- un personal bilingüe que está comprometido a crear una relación fuerte de proveedor/paciente que da poder a los individuos para alcanzar sus más altos niveles de bienestar;
- un equipo que entiende y abraza los diversos grupos de culturas y edades que contribuyen al enriquecimiento de la comunidad.
El BSHC cree que cuidados de salud deben de estar disponibles para todos...y ese es el por qué ellos aceptan la mayoría de planes de seguros médicos incluyendo Medicare y MediCal, y participan en una variedad de programas subsidiados y de descuento.
